महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-30, verse-20

एतेषामपि दीयन्तां रथा ध्वजपताकिनः ।
कवचानि विचित्राणि दृढानि च मृदूनि च ।
प्रतिमुञ्चन्तु गात्रेषु दीयन्तामायुधानि च ॥२०॥
20. eteṣāmapi dīyantāṁ rathā dhvajapatākinaḥ ,
kavacāni vicitrāṇi dṛḍhāni ca mṛdūni ca ,
pratimuñcantu gātreṣu dīyantāmāyudhāni ca.
20. eteṣām api dīyantām rathāḥ
dhvajapatākinaḥ | kavacāni vicitrāṇi

20. Let chariots, complete with flags and banners, be provided for these men. Also, let them be given diverse armors, both strong and soft. They should put these on their limbs, and weapons should also be supplied.
