महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-79, verse-5

आक्षिप्तसूत्रा मणयश्छिन्नपक्षा इव द्विजाः ।
अप्रीतमनसः सर्वे बभूवुरथ पाण्डवाः ॥५॥
5. ākṣiptasūtrā maṇayaśchinnapakṣā iva dvijāḥ ,
aprītamanasaḥ sarve babhūvuratha pāṇḍavāḥ.

aprītamanasaḥ sarve babhūvuḥ atha pāṇḍavāḥ
5. Then all the Pāṇḍavas became distressed in mind, like pearls whose thread has been broken, or like birds whose wings have been clipped.
