महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-77, verse-18

ततः प्रावर्तत द्यूतं पुष्करस्य नलस्य च ।
एकपाणेन भद्रं ते नलेन स पराजितः ।
सरत्नकोशनिचयः प्राणेन पणितोऽपि च ॥१८॥
18. tataḥ prāvartata dyūtaṁ puṣkarasya nalasya ca ,
ekapāṇena bhadraṁ te nalena sa parājitaḥ ,
saratnakośanicayaḥ prāṇena paṇito'pi ca.

18. Then the gambling match between Puskara and Nala began. In a single decisive throw, Puskara was defeated by Nala; may good fortune be with you. He had wagered his collection of jewels, his treasury, and even his very life.
