महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-73, verse-4

न चास्य प्रतिबन्धेन देयोऽग्निरपि भामिनि ।
याचते न जलं देयं सम्यगत्वरमाणया ॥४॥
4. na cāsya pratibandhena deyo'gnirapi bhāmini ,
yācate na jalaṁ deyaṁ samyagatvaramāṇayā.
4. na ca asya pratibandhena deyaḥ agniḥ api bhāmini
yācate na jalam deyam samyak atvaramāṇayā
4. O proud woman, neither fire should be denied to him, nor water to one who asks, by one who acts properly and without haste.
