जनमेजय उवाच ।
भगवञ्श्रोतुमिच्छामि पार्थस्याक्लिष्टकर्मणः ।
विस्तरेण कथामेतां यथास्त्राण्युपलब्धवान् ॥१॥

bhagavañśrotumicchāmi pārthasyākliṣṭakarmaṇaḥ ,
vistareṇa kathāmetāṁ yathāstrāṇyupalabdhavān.
