श्रुतं विदितवेद्यस्य तव वाक्यं युधिष्ठिर ।
भक्षयेयमहं कस्माद्भ्रातरं ते वृकोदरम् ॥३३॥

The serpent said: O Yudhiṣṭhira, your statement has been heard and understood by me, who comprehends all that is to be known. Why should I eat your brother, Bhīma (Vṛkodara)?
