महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-35, verse-3

न हि धर्मं परं जातु नावबुध्येत पार्थिव ।
भीष्मः शांतनवस्त्वेनं मावमंस्था अतोऽन्यथा ॥३॥

3. O King, Bhīṣma, the son of Śāntanu, surely knows the highest (dharma) (natural law) and would never fail to understand it. Therefore, do not disrespect him, otherwise (there will be consequences).
