न संबन्धं पुरस्कृत्य कृतार्थं वा कथंचन ॥१४॥

O King of Chedi, we do not [honor] Janārdana merely out of desire, nor by emphasizing any relationship, nor by having achieved any purpose (karma) through him in any way.
