महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-27, verse-18

स कर्णं युधि निर्जित्य वशे कृत्वा च भारत ।
ततो विजिग्ये बलवान्राज्ञः पर्वतवासिनः ॥१८॥
18. sa karṇaṁ yudhi nirjitya vaśe kṛtvā ca bhārata ,
tato vijigye balavānrājñaḥ parvatavāsinaḥ.

18. O Bhārata, having defeated Karṇa in battle and brought him under his sway, the powerful one (Arjuna) then conquered the mountain-dwelling kings.
