महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-27, verse-14

ततः सुह्मान्प्राच्यसुह्मान्समक्षांश्चैव वीर्यवान् ।
विजित्य युधि कौन्तेयो मागधानुपयाद्बली ॥१४॥
14. tataḥ suhmānprācyasuhmānsamakṣāṁścaiva vīryavān ,
vijitya yudhi kaunteyo māgadhānupayādbalī.

14. Then, that mighty and powerful son of Kuntī (Bhīma), having conquered the Suhmās, the Eastern Suhmās, and the Samakṣas in battle, proceeded towards the Māgadhas.
