महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-83, verse-8

इत्युक्तः प्रत्युवाचैनं पाण्डवः प्रहसन्निव ।
विघ्नकर्ता मया वार्य इति मे व्रतमाहितम् ॥८॥
8. ityuktaḥ pratyuvācainaṁ pāṇḍavaḥ prahasanniva ,
vighnakartā mayā vārya iti me vratamāhitam.
8. iti uktaḥ prati uvāca enam pāṇḍavaḥ prahasan
iva vighnakartā mayā vāryaḥ iti me vratam āhitam
8. iti uktaḥ pāṇḍavaḥ enam prahasan iva prati uvāca: "vighnakartā mayā vāryaḥ; iti me vratam āhitam.

8. Thus addressed, the Pāṇḍava (Bhima) replied to him, as if smiling, "One who creates obstacles must be restrained by me; this is my established vow."
