महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-8, verse-12

न मे त्वत्तः प्रियतरो लोकेऽस्मिन्पाण्डुनन्दन ।
त्वत्तश्च मे प्रियतरा ब्राह्मणा भरतर्षभ ॥१२॥
12. na me tvattaḥ priyataro loke'sminpāṇḍunandana ,
tvattaśca me priyatarā brāhmaṇā bharatarṣabha.
12. na me tvattaḥ priyataraḥ loke asmin pāṇḍunandana
tvattaḥ ca me priyatarāḥ brāhmaṇāḥ bharatarṣabha
12. pāṇḍunandana asmin loke tvattaḥ priyataraḥ me na (asti).
bharatarṣabha ca tvattaḥ priyatarāḥ brāhmaṇāḥ me (santi).
12. O son of Pandu, no one in this world is dearer to me than you. And, O best of Bharatas, brahmins (brāhmaṇa) are even dearer to me than you.
