महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-118, verse-27

सकृज्जातिगुणोपेतः संगत्या गृहमागतः ।
अतिथिः पूजितो ब्रह्मंस्तेन मां नाजहात्स्मृतिः ॥२७॥
27. sakṛjjātiguṇopetaḥ saṁgatyā gṛhamāgataḥ ,
atithiḥ pūjito brahmaṁstena māṁ nājahātsmṛtiḥ.
27. sakṛt jātiguṇopetaḥ saṅgatyā gṛham āgataḥ
atithiḥ pūjitaḥ brahman tena mām na ajahāt smṛtiḥ
27. brahman sakṛt jātiguṇopetaḥ saṅgatyā gṛham
āgataḥ atithiḥ pūjitaḥ tena mām smṛtiḥ na ajahāt
27. O Brahmin! Because of that (act of honoring) a guest who once came to my house, endowed with noble qualities (jāti-guṇa), my memory (smṛti) has not abandoned me.
