महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-118, verse-16

कीट उवाच ।
सर्वत्र निरतो जीव इतीहापि सुखं मम ।
चेतयामि महाप्राज्ञ तस्मादिच्छामि जीवितुम् ॥१६॥
16. kīṭa uvāca ,
sarvatra nirato jīva itīhāpi sukhaṁ mama ,
cetayāmi mahāprājña tasmādicchāmi jīvitum.

mama cetayāmi mahāprājña tasmāt icchāmi jīvitum

16. The worm said: 'A living being (jīva) is attached everywhere; therefore, even here there is happiness for me. I am conscious, O greatly wise one, and thus I desire to live.'
