महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-34, verse-35

अशोच्यास्ते महात्मानः क्षत्रियाः क्षत्रियर्षभ ।
स्वकर्मभिर्गता नाशं कृतान्तबलमोहिताः ॥३५॥
35. aśocyāste mahātmānaḥ kṣatriyāḥ kṣatriyarṣabha ,
svakarmabhirgatā nāśaṁ kṛtāntabalamohitāḥ.

svakarmabhiḥ gatāḥ nāśam kṛtāntabalamohitāḥ
35. kṣatriyarṣabha,
te mahātmānaḥ kṣatriyāḥ अशोच्याः,

kṛtāntabalamohitāḥ,
nāśam gatāḥ.
35. O best of Kṣatriyas, those great-souled (ātman) Kṣatriyas are not to be grieved for; they met their destruction through their own actions (karma), deluded by the power of destiny (kṛtānta).
