यथाञ्जनमयो वायुः पुनर्मानःशिलं रजः ।
अनुप्रविश्य तद्वर्णो दृश्यते रञ्जयन्दिशः ॥९॥

9. Just as air, tinged with collyrium, or dust consisting of red arsenic, upon pervading something, appears to assume its color, thereby coloring the directions.
