महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-270, verse-22

कृतान्तविधिसंयुक्तं सर्वलोकः प्रपद्यते ।
गतं गच्छन्ति चाध्वानं सर्वभूतानि सर्वदा ॥२२॥
22. kṛtāntavidhisaṁyuktaṁ sarvalokaḥ prapadyate ,
gataṁ gacchanti cādhvānaṁ sarvabhūtāni sarvadā.
22. kṛtānta vidhi saṃyuktam sarva lokaḥ prapadyate |
gatam gacchanti ca adhvānam sarva bhūtāni sarvadā
22. sarvalokaḥ kṛtāntavidhisaṃyuktam prapadyate
sarvabhūtāni gatam ca adhvānam sarvadā gacchanti
22. All people are subject to the ordinance of destiny (kṛtānta). All beings always traverse the path that has been traversed.
