O Janārdana, this (suffering) has been inflicted upon us by the King of Justice (Dharmarāja). For, O Vārṣṇeya, there is certainly no destruction (nāśaḥ) of (karma) actions (karmaṇoḥ), whether good or bad (śubhapāpayoḥ).
