अन्वावर्तामहि वयं यत्तु तं पापपूरुषम् ।
अस्मानप्यनयस्तस्मात्प्राप्तोऽयं दारुणो महान् ॥२८॥

28. anvāvartāmahi vayaṁ yattu taṁ pāpapūruṣam ,
asmānapyanayastasmātprāpto'yaṁ dāruṇo mahān.

api anayaḥ tasmāt prāptaḥ ayam dāruṇaḥ mahān

28. vayam yat tu tam pāpapūruṣam anu-āvartāmahi,

28. Indeed, because we aligned ourselves with that wicked person (puruṣa), this great and terrible misfortune has also befallen us because of him.
