महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-41, verse-24

यत्त्वेतत्पश्यसि ब्रह्मन्मूलमस्यार्धभक्षितम् ।
तत्र लम्बामहे सर्वे सोऽप्येकस्तप आस्थितः ॥२४॥
24. yattvetatpaśyasi brahmanmūlamasyārdhabhakṣitam ,
tatra lambāmahe sarve so'pyekastapa āsthitaḥ.
24. yat tu etat paśyasi brahman mūlam asya ardhabhakṣitam
tatra lambāmahe sarve saḥ api ekaḥ tapaḥ āsthitaḥ
24. And what you see here, O Brahmin, as the half-eaten root of this (creeper)—from there we are all suspended. That one (Jaratkāru), too, is solely engaged in penance.
