महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-41, verse-22

यं तु पश्यसि नो ब्रह्मन्वीरणस्तम्बमाश्रितान् ।
एषोऽस्माकं कुलस्तम्ब आसीत्स्वकुलवर्धनः ॥२२॥

22. yaṁ tu paśyasi no brahmanvīraṇastambamāśritān ,
eṣo'smākaṁ kulastamba āsītsvakulavardhanaḥ.

22. yam tu paśyasi naḥ brahman vīraṇastambam āśritān
eṣaḥ asmākam kulastambaḥ āsīt svakulavardhanaḥ

22. But O Brahmin, those whom you see clinging to this clump of vīraṇa grass—he was formerly the pillar of our family, the one who would increase his own lineage.

22. הו בְּרַהְמִין, אנו התלויים בצרור עשב וִירַנַה שאתה רואה. הצרור הזה היה צרור הקוּלַה שלנו, אשר הצמיח את הקוּלַה שלו.
