महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-37, verse-9

शृङ्गिंस्तव पिताद्यासौ तथैवास्ते यतव्रतः ।
सोऽपि राजा स्वनगरं प्रतियातो गजाह्वयम् ॥९॥
9. śṛṅgiṁstava pitādyāsau tathaivāste yatavrataḥ ,
so'pi rājā svanagaraṁ pratiyāto gajāhvayam.
9. śṛṅgiḥ tava pitā adya asau tathā eva āste yatavrataḥ
saḥ api rājā svanagaram pratiyātaḥ gajāhvayam
9. O Śṛṅgi, your father (Śamīka) still remains there today, just as he was, observing his vow (of silence). And that king (Parīkṣit) also returned to his own city, Hastinapura.
