महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-37, verse-1

सूत उवाच ।
एवमुक्तः स तेजस्वी शृङ्गी कोपसमन्वितः ।
मृतधारं गुरुं श्रुत्वा पर्यतप्यत मन्युना ॥१॥
1. sūta uvāca ,
evamuktaḥ sa tejasvī śṛṅgī kopasamanvitaḥ ,
mṛtadhāraṁ guruṁ śrutvā paryatapyata manyunā.

1. Sūta said: Thus addressed, the glorious Śṛṅgin, filled with wrath, was tormented by sorrow upon hearing that his father (who was like a guru) was bearing a corpse.
