युधिष्ठिर उवाच ।
उपपन्नमिदं मातस्त्वया यद्बुद्धिपूर्वकम् ।
आर्तस्य ब्राह्मणस्यैवमनुक्रोशादिदं कृतम् ।
ध्रुवमेष्यति भीमोऽयं निहत्य पुरुषादकम् ॥२६॥
उपपन्नमिदं मातस्त्वया यद्बुद्धिपूर्वकम् ।
आर्तस्य ब्राह्मणस्यैवमनुक्रोशादिदं कृतम् ।
ध्रुवमेष्यति भीमोऽयं निहत्य पुरुषादकम् ॥२६॥
26. yudhiṣṭhira uvāca ,
upapannamidaṁ mātastvayā yadbuddhipūrvakam ,
ārtasya brāhmaṇasyaivamanukrośādidaṁ kṛtam ,
dhruvameṣyati bhīmo'yaṁ nihatya puruṣādakam.

26.
Yudhishthira said: "Mother, what you have done is indeed appropriate and well-thought-out. This act was motivated by compassion for the distressed Brahmin. Surely, Bhīma will return after killing that man-eating demon (puruṣādaka)."
