महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-138, verse-4

असकृच्चापि संतीर्य दूरपारं भुजप्लवैः ।
पथि प्रच्छन्नमासेदुर्धार्तराष्ट्रभयात्तदा ॥४॥
4. asakṛccāpi saṁtīrya dūrapāraṁ bhujaplavaiḥ ,
pathi pracchannamāsedurdhārtarāṣṭrabhayāttadā.
4. asakṛt ca api saṃtīrya dūrapāram bhujaplavaiḥ
pathi pracchannam āseduḥ dhārtarāṣṭrabhayāt tadā
4. Then, repeatedly crossing rivers with distant banks by swimming with their arms, they reached the path and remained concealed there due to their fear of the Dhārtarāṣṭras.
