अबोधादेतयोर्भेदो बोधेनैव विलीयते ।
अबोधात्सन्मयो याति रज्ज्वां सर्पभ्रमो यथा ॥ ३२ ॥

abodhāt etayoḥ bhedaḥ bodhena eva vilīyate
abodhāt sanmayaḥ yāti rajjvām sarpabhramaḥ yathā

32.
The distinction between these two (the self and nature) arises from ignorance and dissolves only through knowledge. Just as the delusion of a snake (sarpabhrama) in a rope occurs due to ignorance, so too, due to ignorance, the truly existing (reality) appears as something other than itself.
