वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-18, verse-14

सो ऽब्रवीत् स्नेहसंयुक्तं मरुत्तं तं महानृषिः ।
श्रोतव्यं यदि मद्वाक्यं संप्रहारो न ते क्षमः ॥१४॥
14. so'bravīt snehasaṃyuktaṃ maruttaṃ taṃ mahānṛṣiḥ ,
śrotavyaṃ yadi madvākyaṃ saṃprahāro na te kṣamaḥ.
14. saḥ abravīt snehsaṃyuktam maruttam tam mahānṛṣiḥ
śrotavyam yadi madvākyam saṃprahāraḥ na te kṣamaḥ
14. mahānṛṣiḥ snehsaṃyuktam tam maruttam abravīt: "yadi madvākyam śrotavyam,
[tarhi] te saṃprahāraḥ na kṣamaḥ.
"
14. That great sage, filled with affection, said to Marutta: 'If my words are to be heeded, then battle is not appropriate for you.'
