वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-13, verse-33

तस्माज्जातो ऽहमरुणात् संपातिश्च ममाग्रजः ।
जटायुरिति मां विद्धि श्येनीपुत्रमरिंदम ॥३३॥
33. tasmājjāto'hamaruṇāt saṃpātiśca mamāgrajaḥ ,
jaṭāyuriti māṃ viddhi śyenīputramariṃdama.
33. tasmāt jātaḥ aham aruṇāt saṃpātiḥ ca mama agrajaḥ
| jaṭāyuḥ iti mām viddhi śyenīputram ariṃdama
33. tasmāt aruṇāt aham jātaḥ saṃpātiḥ ca mama agrajaḥ ariṃdama,

33. From that Aruṇa, I was born, and Saṃpāti is my elder brother. O suppressor of enemies (ariṃdama), know me as Jaṭāyu, the son of Śyenī.
