वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-13, verse-19

श्येनी श्येनांश्च गृध्रांश्च व्यजायत सुतेजसः ।
धृतराष्ट्री तु हंसांश्च कलहंसांश्च सर्वशः ॥१९॥
19. śyenī śyenāṃśca gṛdhrāṃśca vyajāyata sutejasaḥ ,
dhṛtarāṣṭrī tu haṃsāṃśca kalahaṃsāṃśca sarvaśaḥ.

19. Śyenī gave birth to falcons, hawks, and mighty vultures. But Dhṛtarāṣṭrī, in turn, gave birth to geese and kalahaṃsa (Indian cranes) of all varieties.
