वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-13, verse-25

हर्याश्च हरयो ऽपत्यं वानराश्च तपस्विनः ।
गोलाङ्गूलांश्च शार्दूली व्याघ्रांश्चाजनयत् सुतान् ॥२५॥
25. haryāśca harayo'patyaṃ vānarāśca tapasvinaḥ ,
golāṅgūlāṃśca śārdūlī vyāghrāṃścājanayat sutān.

golāṅgūlān ca śārdūlī vyāghrān ca ajanayat sutān

25. And monkeys (harayaḥ) were the offspring of Haryā, and also vānaras (monkeys) known for their asceticism. Śārdūlī gave birth to langurs (golāṅgūla) and also to tigers (vyāghra) as offspring.
