वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-62, verse-24

एवं वर्षसहस्रं हि
तपो घोरमुपागमत् ॥२४॥
24. evaṃ varṣasahasraṃ hi
tapo ghoramupāgamat.
