वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-62, verse-17

देवतानां वचः श्रुत्वा सर्वलोकपितामहः ।
अब्रवीन्मधुरं वाक्यं विश्वामित्रं तपोधनम् ॥१७॥
17. devatānāṃ vacaḥ śrutvā sarvalokapitāmahaḥ ,
abravīnmadhuraṃ vākyaṃ viśvāmitraṃ tapodhanam.

17. Having heard the words of the deities, the grandfather of all worlds (Brahmā) spoke pleasing words to Viśvāmitra, who was rich in asceticism (tapas).
