मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-9, verse-9

तस्माद् दुरात्मा ब्रह्मद्विट् प्राज्ञानामवरोपितः ।
मच्छापोपहतो मूढः स बकत्वमवाप्स्यति ॥९॥
9. tasmād durātmā brahmadviṭ prājñānāmavaropitaḥ .
macchāpopahato mūḍhaḥ sa bakatvamavāpsyati.
9. tasmāt durātmā brahmadviṭ prājñānām avaropitaḥ
macchāpopahataḥ mūḍhaḥ saḥ bakatvam avāpsyati
9. Therefore, that evil-souled, brahmin-hater, who was dethroned by the wise, struck down by my curse, and deluded, he will attain the state of a crane.
