मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-9, verse-12

अन्यजातिसमायोगं गतावप्यमितौजसौ ।
युयुधातेऽतिसंरब्धौ महाबलपराक्रमौ ॥१२॥
12. anyajātisamāyogaṃ gatāvapyamitaujasau .
yuyudhāte'tisaṃrabdhau mahābalaparākramau.

12. Although those two, possessing immeasurable energy, had attained the state of being of another species, they fought, exceedingly enraged, those two of great strength and valor.
