मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-9, verse-10

पक्षिण ऊचुः ।
श्रुत्वा शापं महातेजा विश्वामित्रोऽपि कौशिकः ।
त्वमप्याडिर्भवस्तेवति प्रतिशापमयच्छत ॥१०॥
10. pakṣiṇa ūcuḥ .
śrutvā śāpaṃ mahātejā viśvāmitro'pi kauśikaḥ .
tvamapyāḍirbhavastevati pratiśāpamayacchata.
10. pakṣiṇaḥ ūcuḥ śrutvā śāpam mahātejāḥ viśvāmitraḥ api
kauśikaḥ tvam api āḍiḥ bhava tataḥ iti pratiśāpam ayacchata
10. The birds said: Upon hearing the curse, Viśvāmitra, the greatly splendid descendant of Kuśika, also gave a counter-curse, saying, "You too shall become an Āḍi bird!"
