मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-9, verse-25

ततस्तौ पूर्वदेहस्थौ प्राह देवः प्रजापतिः ।
व्युदस्ते तामसे भावे वशिष्ठ0-कौशिकर्षभौ ॥२५॥
25. tatastau pūrvadehasthau prāha devaḥ prajāpatiḥ .

25. Then, after their dark (tāmasa) state was dispelled, the divine Prajāpati (Prajāpati) spoke to those two, Vasiṣṭha and Kauśika (Viśvāmitra), the best of sages, who were situated in their original bodies.
