मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-71, verse-23

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
ततो राजा परं हर्षमवाप्य तमपृच्छत ।
द्विजवर्यं स्वदौर्भाग्यकारणं दयितां प्रति ॥२३॥
23. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tato rājā paraṃ harṣamavāpya tamapṛcchata .
dvijavaryaṃ svadaurbhāgyakāraṇaṃ dayitāṃ prati.
23. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca tataḥ rājā param harṣam avāpya tam
apṛcchat dvijavaryam svadaurbhāgyakāraṇam dayitām prati
23. Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then the king, having obtained great joy, asked that excellent Brahmin about the cause of his own misfortune concerning his beloved wife.
