भगवन् किं करोम्येष विपाको मम कर्मणाम् ।
नानुकूलानुकूलस्य यस्मात्त्यक्ता ततो मया ॥१२॥

bhagavan kiṃ karomyeṣa vipāko mama karmaṇām .
nānukūlānukūlasya yasmāttyaktā tato mayā.

rājā uvāca bhagavan kim karomi eṣaḥ vipākaḥ mama
karmaṇām na anukūlānukūlasya yasmāt tyaktā tataḥ mayā

The King said: 'O Revered One, what can I do? This is the consequence of my actions (karma). It is not an outcome for a fortunate person, because I abandoned her.'
