मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-71, verse-14

साम्प्रतं तु वने त्यक्ता न वेद्मि क्व नु सा गता ।
भक्षिता वापि विपिने सिंहव्याघ्रनिशाचरैः ॥१४॥
14. sāmprataṃ tu vane tyaktā na vedmi kva nu sā gatā .
bhakṣitā vāpi vipine siṃhavyāghraniśācaraiḥ.
14. sāmpratam tu vane tyaktā na vedmi kva nu sā gatā
bhakṣitā vā api vipine siṃha vyāghra niśācaraiḥ
14. But now, abandoned in the forest, I do not know where she has gone. Or perhaps she was eaten in the wilderness by lions, tigers, and night-roaming creatures.
