मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-71, verse-1

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
तां प्रेषयित्वा राजापि स्वभर्तृगृहमङ्गनाम् ।
चिन्तयामास निः श्वस्य किमत्र सुकतं भवेत् ॥१॥
1. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tāṃ preṣayitvā rājāpi svabhartṛgṛhamaṅganām .
cintayāmāsa niḥ śvasya kimatra sukataṃ bhavet.
1. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca tām preṣayitvā rājā api svabhartṛgṛham
aṅganām cintayāmāsa niḥśvasya kim atra sukṛtam bhavet
1. Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having sent that woman to her husband's house, the king also sighed deeply and began to ponder what righteous action could be taken in this matter.
