मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-129, verse-22

यान्यान्वृणोति स नृपो विप्रानार्त्विज्यकर्मणि ।
ते ते तमूचुर्यज्ञाय वयमप्यत्र दीक्षिताः ॥२२॥
22. yānyānvṛṇoti sa nṛpo viprānārtvijyakarmaṇi .
te te tamūcuryajñāya vayamapyatra dīkṣitāḥ.
22. yān yān vṛṇoti sa nṛpaḥ viprān ārtvijyakarmaṇi
te te tam ūcuḥ yajñāya vayam api atra dīkṣitāḥ
22. Whichever brahmins (vipra) the king chose for the priestly duties, those very ones said to him, "We are also consecrated here for the performance of this sacrificial ritual (yajña)."
