मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-102, verse-23

तेषां युद्धमभूद्घोरं देवानामसुरैः सह ।
शस्त्रास्त्रदीप्तिसंदीप्तं समस्तभुवनान्तरम् ॥२३॥
23. teṣāṃ yuddhamabhūdghoraṃ devānāmasuraiḥ saha .

23. A terrible battle ensued between them, the gods and the Asuras. It was ablaze with the radiance of weapons and missiles, engulfing the entire universe.
