मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-102, verse-1

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
ततः स्वतेजसस्तस्मादाविर्भूतो विभावसुः ।
अदृश्यत तदादित्यस्तप्तताम्रोपमप्रभः ॥१॥
1. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tataḥ svatejasastasmādāvirbhūto vibhāvasuḥ .
adṛśyata tadādityastaptatāmropamaprabhaḥ.
1. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca tataḥ svatejasaḥ tasmāt āvirbhūtaḥ
vibhāvasuḥ adṛśyata tadā ādityaḥ taptatāmropamaprabhaḥ
1. Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then, from his own splendor, the resplendent Sun (Vibhāvasu) appeared. The Sun god (Āditya) was then seen, glowing with a luster like heated copper.
