महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-46, verse-16

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
भृगोः शापाद्भृशं भीतो जातवेदाः प्रतापवान् ।
शमीगर्भमथासाद्य ननाश भगवांस्ततः ॥१६॥
16. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
bhṛgoḥ śāpādbhṛśaṁ bhīto jātavedāḥ pratāpavān ,
śamīgarbhamathāsādya nanāśa bhagavāṁstataḥ.
16. vaiśaṃpāyanaḥ uvāca bhṛgoḥ śāpāt bhṛśam bhītaḥ jātavedāḥ
pratāpavān śamīgarbham atha āsādya nanāśa bhagavān tataḥ
16. vaiśaṃpāyanaḥ uvāca: bhṛgoḥ śāpāt bhṛśam bhītaḥ,
pratāpavān bhagavān jātavedāḥ atha śamīgarbham āsādya tataḥ nanāśa.
16. Vaiśampāyana said: 'The powerful, divine Jātavedas (Agni), greatly frightened by Bhṛgu's curse, then, having entered the interior of a śamī tree, disappeared.'
