महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-19, verse-24

स भिन्नकुम्भः सहसा विनद्य मुखात्प्रभूतं क्षतजं विमुञ्चन् ।
पपात नागो धरणीधराभः क्षितिप्रकम्पाच्चलितो यथाद्रिः ॥२४॥
24. sa bhinnakumbhaḥ sahasā vinadya; mukhātprabhūtaṁ kṣatajaṁ vimuñcan ,
papāta nāgo dharaṇīdharābhaḥ; kṣitiprakampāccalito yathādriḥ.

24. With its temples shattered, that elephant, which resembled a mountain, suddenly roared and, gushing forth copious blood from its mouth, fell to the ground, just like a mountain dislodged by an earthquake.
