महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-32, verse-6

महर्षयः सप्त पूर्वे चत्वारो मनवस्तथा ।
मद्भावा मानसा जाता येषां लोक इमाः प्रजाः ॥६॥
6. maharṣayaḥ sapta pūrve catvāro manavastathā ,
madbhāvā mānasā jātā yeṣāṁ loka imāḥ prajāḥ.

madbhāvāḥ mānasāḥ jātāḥ yeṣām loke imāḥ prajāḥ
6. sapta pūrve maharṣayaḥ tathā ca catvāraḥ manavaḥ

6. The seven great ancient sages, and similarly the four Manus, were born from My mind and embody My nature; from them all these beings in the world have sprung forth.
