महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-138, verse-4

संजय उवाच ।
आनुपूर्व्येण वाक्यानि श्लक्ष्णानि च मृदूनि च ।
प्रियाणि धर्मयुक्तानि सत्यानि च हितानि च ॥४॥
4. saṁjaya uvāca ,
ānupūrvyeṇa vākyāni ślakṣṇāni ca mṛdūni ca ,
priyāṇi dharmayuktāni satyāni ca hitāni ca.

4. Sañjaya said: (He spoke) in due order, words that were gentle, mild, pleasant, imbued with righteousness (dharma), truthful, and beneficial.
