महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-125, verse-17

ते वयं वीरशयनं प्राप्स्यामो यदि संयुगे ।
अप्रणम्यैव शत्रूणां न नस्तप्स्यति माधव ॥१७॥
17. te vayaṁ vīraśayanaṁ prāpsyāmo yadi saṁyuge ,
apraṇamyaiva śatrūṇāṁ na nastapsyati mādhava.

apraṇamya eva śatrūṇām na naḥ tapsyati mādhava
17. If we, in battle, achieve a hero's bed without ever bowing to our enemies, O Madhava, it will not cause us grief.
