महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-119, verse-8

पतेयं सत्स्विति वचस्त्रिरुक्त्वा नहुषात्मजः ।
पतिष्यंश्चिन्तयामास गतिं गतिमतां वरः ॥८॥
8. pateyaṁ satsviti vacastriruktvā nahuṣātmajaḥ ,
patiṣyaṁścintayāmāsa gatiṁ gatimatāṁ varaḥ.
8. pateyam satsu iti vacaḥ triḥ uktvā nahuṣātmajaḥ
patiṣyan cintayāmāsa gatim gatimatām varaḥ
8. "May I fall among noble persons (sat)," the son of Nahuṣa (Yayāti) said this word three times. As he was about to fall, that foremost among all beings (gatimatām varaḥ) pondered his destination.
