महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-119, verse-25

यस्माद्राजन्नराः सर्वे अपत्यफलभागिनः ।
तस्मादिच्छन्ति दौहित्रान्यथा त्वं वसुधाधिप ॥२५॥
25. yasmādrājannarāḥ sarve apatyaphalabhāginaḥ ,
tasmādicchanti dauhitrānyathā tvaṁ vasudhādhipa.
25. yasmāt rājan narāḥ sarve apatyaphalabhāginaḥ
tasmāt icchanti dauhitrān yathā tvam vasudhādhipa
25. O king, because all men partake in the fruit of having offspring, they therefore desire grandsons (sons of daughters), just as you do, O ruler of the earth.
